NATURE
OF WORK:
Supervisor is responsible for the day-to-day performance of a group of employees and has experience in what the group of employees does. The supervisor is responsible for guiding and coordinating the work of the group of employees towards established goals and objectives.
This is a two level job progression in departments in which there are more than 8 employees that the Supervisor directly oversees that is designed to provide progressively more responsible and independent work experiences to an employee as part of the overall assessment of their ability and capability. Promotion between job levels is based on performance on prior assignments and the demonstrated ability to successfully handle more progressively responsible assignments.
For departments in which there are fewer than 8 employees the position will be a Supervisor I and job progression is not available.

Demonstrated skill to maintain quality, safety, and infection control standards. Demonstrated skill in the use of computers and appropriate software. Demonstrated skill to effectively and efficiently make decisions. Demonstrated skill to perform job with minimal supervision. Demonstrated skill to meet production and attendance standards. Demonstrated skill to use improvement tools and principles. Demonstrated skill in working in a rapidly changing and innovative healthcare system. Knowledge and compliance with all applicable laws, policies, procedures, bylaws, regulatory requirements, and best practice guidelines regarding Privacy of Healthcare Information, Corporate and Healthcare Compliance. Demonstrated skill in the use of strategic planning and decision making processes. Demonstrated skill to work in a multi-disciplinary team environment. Demonstrated ability of effective Customer Service skills.
Supervisor II in addition to Supervisor I: Demonstrated proficiency in the operational principles and the SCF methods of improvement. Demonstrated skill in supervising the day to day performance of the group employees assigned. Demonstrated skill in ensuring effective communication. Demonstrated skill in ensuring exceptional customer service. Demonstrated skill in coordinating the management of human resource functions. Demonstrated skill in managing financial processes timely and effectively. Demonstrated skill in coordinating the development, education and training of employees assigned. Demonstrated skill in ensuring that annual plan action plans are implemented and measured and that improvement plans are effective.
QUALIFICATIONS:
SCF programs are established for the purpose of serving a primary population comprised of Alaska Natives who are affiliated with the Cook Inlet Region Inc. (CIRI), and Alaska Natives and American Indians within SCF’s geographical service area. Employees should have a thorough understanding of the cultures and the needs of the CIRI members, and of the general culture and needs of Alaska Natives and American Indians.
Supervisor I High School Diploma or GED. Two (2) years experience working in a position similar to those supervised. Supervisor II, in addition to Supervisor I Two (2) years of demonstrated experience at the Supervisory I level.
